CTAER’s main objective is to contribute to the optimisation of technologies related to the exploitation of renewable energy resources, improving their performance in order to make them more competitive.

The head office and research facilities of CTAER are located in Andalusia, the autonomous community that has been the cradle of technological and commercial development of renewable energies in Spain.

The executive board of this private foundation is composed of leading companies in the corresponding sector, national and regional public administrations, Andalusia universities of Almeria, Cadiz, Jaen and Seville, and the Research Centre for Energy, Environment and Technology (CIEMAT) from the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
